You can watch Govinda's IIFA Awards 2008 performance now. He delivers a great performance to the songs "Soni De Nakhre" (Partner), "Dard-E-Disco" (Om Shanti Om), "Welcome" (Welcome) and a new song from Money Hai Toh Honey Hai - "Rangeeli Raat". And it's worth watching, you shouldn't miss it! Once again he shows that he's a perfect dancer!

My first impression is more or less positive. Last year I hated Partner right away, so there's still hope that I'll like this one in the end. I've been listening to Ta Na Na all evening and Rangeeli Raat is a good song too. But I'll give them a second chance before writing a detailed review. The style is very fresh. I think it will fit the movie perfectly - and I can't wait to see the full video of Ta Na Na.
This morning Mid-day published a strange article reporting that Rimi Sen will soon be seen in a movie playing a 160 kg woman - co-starring Govinda! She will not put on all the weight of course.
There's just one thing I am reminded of: Shallow Hal with Gwyneth Paltrow and Jack Black. But there's word of Govinda as a "conman", maybe this will save the whole thing.
Two new song trailers are online. 2 minutes of Tanana with Govinda and Esha. To me this one looks very impressive, Govinda displays his usual dancing skills and it is amazing. The song's OK so far, I'll decide if I like when I am able to listen to the full length.
The second song is Jappi, the one they were filming when all the set pics were taken. It's full of engergy and even without the full song I can already say I like it. But Manoj, you need to practice dancing! Meanwhile Aftab looks absolutely sexy! Very entertaining video!
Eros Entertainment has started an official Money Hai Toh Honey Hai Blog, there's already a first entry and I hope that some more will follow soon. The soundtrack should be out soon as well. And you can download many Wallpapers of the movie at Eros. I still can't get used to this jewelry look but some of the pics are really enjoyable.

The Song from Hatya is no real dance performance but I like the video nevertheless. The songs from Ilzaam are all classics, each one of them is great. I also enjoyed some songs of Aunty No.1 and Hero No.1 which are not in the list.
Newindpress recently wrote about Excuse Me Please and quoted Govinda:
"Yes, it is a sex comedy and I do play the title role. How will I play a 40-year old virgin? I’ll just have to fake it, ha ha. I guess that’s what acting is. I’ve never touched alcohol in my life. But I’ve played a drunkard. Till the age of 36 I had never eaten non-vegetarian food. [...] All of us want the perks of a relationship with the opposite sex including sex. Indiatarget has published an article on Bollywod's star wifes also including Sunita among Gauri Khan, Twinkle Khanna, Suzzanne Khan and others. Here's what has been quoted as her words:
Govinda's wife Sunita maintains that being a celebrity wife is tough. "But after 24 years of being in a marriage you just get used to it," she says candidly. "I have learnt to ignore what doesn't suit me and I am committed to my relationship. I was in my teens when I married Chi Chi and I have actually grown up with him. Every marriage has it's share of upheavals. Things are magnified in a celebrity marriage because we live in the proverbial glass bowl," she says.
The crew of Jagmohan Mundra's new movie has shot a song in England some days ago. He has planned to make a movie based on "The 40-Year-Old virgin" with Govinda in one of the lead roles. Report and a video containing slides of the shooting can be seen here.
Ayesha will be playing the female lead as it has been rumored before. The title of the comedy is "Excuse Me, Please" so far.
Bangkok: Govinda has a lot of fans in Bangkok as he found out when he went there to preform at the ongoing IIFA awards. The actor was mobbed as he stepped out of his hotel, and that's where CNN-IBN's Rohit Khilnani caught him in the middle of all action.
Govinda: The world is a family and IIFA is improving the relationship and spreading the culture, and rejuvenating the whole system all over the world. And I believe it's doing a great job thanks to all the people who are organising it. Thanks to Amit ji and everybody else.
Rohit Khilnani:You are performing today I believe. Tell us a bit about that.
Govinda: Well, I guess I'll let people see the performance. But the performance is just a part of it. The basic purpose of IIFA is to gather film people from all over the world, from Asia, from India, from Pakistan — all those who speak a similar language.
Rohit Khilnani:You wear great clothes so do you shop in Bangkok as well?
Govinda: I will see if I get a chance, but thank you all the same.
Govinda was nominated twice for the IIFA Awards 2008 this weekend in Bangkok, Thailand. Both nominations for Partner in the categories "Performance in a Supporting Role (Male)" and "Performance in a Comic Role". The latter is the one he got the Award for. The movie Partner was also nominated for several Awards but did not win any other trophies besides Govinda's.
